Located inside the historic Baxter Hotel on Main Street, we welcome you to stop by our cozy neighborhood pub. Pick from any one of our 24 rotating beers on tap or sip on one of our classic cocktails as you catch up with friends, new and old.

Baxter has owned the space since 1929, but it was not called "The Bacchus" until the 1960s. Since then, it has operated as the Bacchus Pub, with the exception of a brief time when the space housed a Mexican restaurant.

As Bozeman’s first and only historic pub, we at the Bacchus are pleased to carry this welcoming spirit with us today. As you walk through our doors, we invite you to take a look around and step into Bozeman’s past.

Although the premises of the Bacchus originally opened as the Baxter Coffee House and the iconic name change came in the 1960s, the space itself remains largely unchanged.

Travelling from the UK, we always try and find a “proper pub” this definitely is one! Best Guinness I’ve had in the states and great food to match. I wish we were in town longer to try more of the menu as it was full of locally sourced high-quality ingredients. Anthony was really helpful in explaining the menu and really extremely personable. If you’re ever in Bozeman and want a taste of the UK/Ireland, definitely call in - I couldn’t recommend this spot more.

Stopped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. The hunter fries were delicious and the Heck yeah mule was super good. Also the bartender Porter was super helpful and recommended a ton of local things to see and do in town. The ambiance was rustic with good lighting with awesome greek frescos everywhere. Great experience. Will come back again.

My favorite pub in lil ol bozeman. Cami n jack are great to chat with n always take good care of you. No joke, the best bison burger ive ever had. Chef anthony always makes great specials too. I had a cuban sandwich the other week that was top tier. It should definitely be added to the menu!!!

Service was great, and the food was delicious, but the dessert by Chef Anthony was truly next level! It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal while watching the World Cup!
